Old-established historical house with a lot of wood as well as comfortable and cultivated ambience. This is how the "Weinhaus Henninger" presents itself to us at first. If you take a look into the vaulted cellar, which is often booked for celebrations and groups, or if you include the successful vinotheque, which presents itself in summer with its pretty terrace and was only opened in 2013, you will get a particularly beautiful and varied overall picture. This is appreciated by the hotel guests as well as by the many regular guests who have been loyal to "dem Henninger" for a long time, not only because of the blood sausage specialties that have been on the menu for years.

gault millau 2018 Note in Gault&Millau 2018

"A generally renovated Palatinate institution. The imposing inn, one of the oldest on the Wine Route, with its magnificent half-timbered walls and picturesque courtyard is a living museum of Palatinate hospitality with lots of wood and tiled stoves. The menu combines old recipes of the cult Luise Henninger and modern creations like asparagus tip salad with strawberries, salsiccia and balsamic ginger vinaigrette. The mild herring fillets in horseradish mousse on zucchini ragout and mashed potatoes and onions or the sautéed calf kidneys in rich cognac cream with mashed potatoes and bacon are more tasteful. Those who don't like the traditional tipsy raspberry sorbet are also well served with strawberry parfait in a Baumkuchen coat and white chocolate mocha espuma and sour cherries. Professional service and regional wines complement the good overall impression."
